After finding M2 was getting pretty well worn out after some 150 fights, I felt it was time to build the replacement - M2XT.

M2XT is  the same shape as the last M2 but is slightly longer to make room for the new pneumatics. There is very little internally that is carried over from the last M2. Perm Power Drive motors from Technobots increase motive power from 2 HP to over 6HP.  The pneumatics will still use a 100mm bore ram but this time with a longer stroke plus the pressure will be variable from 10 bar to 50 bar instead of 16 bar as in the last two M2’s. Gas flowrate is also significantly increased by using a custom made ram, manifold and valve block.  Hardox will be used for the armour although that has added some 17kg to the weight so some serious weight saving elsewhere despite a three fold increase in motive power and a four fold increase in flipper power!!
