We are settling into our new store and steadily putting more products on show. This week we put out our range of pneumatics, gears & sprockets, nuts & bolts etc. in fact over 600 items. Our intention was to have every product on show but with our increasing product range, some items will be behind the counter. We do hope to see some of you in the store but of course with customers all over the country, we are not always local! |

Just a selection and in no particular order: Breadboard, Orangutan robot controller, Pololu 30A single and dual motor controllers, a range of model engineering materials in strip, sheet, tube and rod forms, more pneumatic fittings, more crimp kits, fuse kit and various fixings kits, lithium cells, a handy tachometer, etc. |

Breadboard for prototyping those circuits. We also have a range of recently introduced pre-formed insulated wire links for use with these boards |

We have recognised for some time that we have a rather large hole in our range of motors. We have it just about covered now for the range 100mW to 150W but after that it is the Bosch 750W. Now we are going to plug that gap with a range of 22 motors from 150W to 1000W. These motors are now being manufactured for us and we hope they will be on the container ship this side of Xmas to reach us late January. This is very exciting for us as this means we will surely have the widest range of hobby dc motors in the UK to order on-line from stock. Pricing will be good news as well with pricing starting at £15 + VAT for the 150W motor. Seven models will have integral gearboxes starting at 200W right up to two 750W models. The flagship motor being a 750W 36V motor with planetary drive gearbox giving a final speed of 600 rpm (that’s 17mph on 10” wheels) for just £89 + VAT now that has to be value for money. Newsletter subscribers will be able to pre-order early January at an introductory discount price. See the next newsletter for details. |

You must all be shy as we did not receive any entries for our September competition, we will re-run it again next year. Coincidently, we had a customer pop in to out store just a few days ago and to say his use of our products is unusual is an understatement. Now this is very hard to describe but he had built a pair electric powered single wheel bikes that tow you along on your roller blades. But there’s more, each ‘bike’ was beautifully sculptured in polished aluminium and fitted with a 400W sound system with 2GB MP3 player. Each ‘bike’ was radio linked to offer stereo sound. Just take a look at these: |
