Our last newsletter was in September 2007 - where has the time gone?  That newsletter featured the launch of our new website which despite a number of issues continues to serve us well.  You may well have spotted that we are working our way through the website updating information and photos to provide an improved window to our product range. 

Technobots has certainly moved on from its humble beginnings to now where we have some 4,000 products on-line and it continues to grow.

It has been two years since we last asked for feedback so we would like to take the opportunity again to see where we still need to make improvements to our product range and service.  We implemented many of the suggestions made last time which also meant changing the complete shopping cart software.  We will be giving away a £25 Technobots gift vouchers to two readers who submit the feedback form and they will of course be drawn at random.  The form is available here and should only take a few moments to complete. We have launched a discount scheme aimed towards bona fide model club members.  Once your club has been signed up, log in details will be provided to that clubs membership by the club secretary that will enable the members to shop at Technobots at discount prices.  More information can be found here. 

There has simply been too many new products launched since the last newsletter to list them here so this time we shall focus on new product ranges.

The single biggest product group launch is Electronic Components.  We have recognised that many of our customers also like to dabble in electronics but are finding component supplies for the hobbyist becoming less common and increasingly expensive.  So, check out our Electronics Shop where we have a good range of components at a far lower cost than on the high street and many on-line suppliers. 

One manufacturer that we now represent is Dimension Engineering.  We stock their entire range of motor speed controllers, RC switches, voltage regulators, BEC’s, lighting effects, LiPo monitors & accelerometers.  There range is of the highest quality and at a competitive price despite the poor $/£ exchange rate and well worth checking out if they are new to you.

Our range of transmission products continue to grow with an extensive range of miniature bearings, nylon gears, nylon pulleys (including brass hub versions), cams, sprockets and ball transfer units.  We also offer a wider range of aluminium timing pulleys and Synchroflex belts, some sizes in stock such as the T2.5 size with many more on our 7 Day lead time (typically 3-4 days). Once we overcome some software limitations, we shall be adding a web facility to allow for on-line enquiring, quoting, ordering and payment of special order products (i.e. products not listed on the Technobots website).

Control a standard servo using a pot or switches + resistors. The servo tracks the pot position.

We are back on Ebay with a selection of our products and with no minimum order value. Our aim is to list about 1,000 products on there over the coming weeks. We will also be using Ebay as an outlet for excess stock and discontinued items so there is every chance of picking up a bargain. Our Ebay shop can be found here.
