Use this calculator to obtain any one of the four variables given the other three.  For example, to calculate the gearbox ratio, enter the motor speed (rpm), wheel diameter (mm) and desired robot speed (mph) but leave the gearbox ratio box empty.

Note: Motor Speed RPM is often quoted as no load or at nominal / rated power, unless the motors are under powered (in which case full speed will not be achieved), we suggest using a value slightly higher than the rated power RPM.  This may mean that final speed will be higher than that calculated but this calculator should only be used for estimating purposes.
