Camborne Pond Hoppers Model Boat Club
A small but select club, with a big reputation,modelling all types of scale boats, from Lifeboats to fishing boats, to private yachts.We exhibit all over Cornwall, to help raise funds for the RNLI . Fenland Marine Model Group
Fenland Marine Model Group is based at Wood Green Animal Shelter, near Huntingdon Cambridgeshire UK. We build & sail, Scale, Semi Scale & Stand Off class marine models, powered by Steam, Wind, & Electric motors. We do not allow internal combustion engines to be used on the lake due to noise & water pollution. We have an active membership sailing fortnightly on Sundays & exhibit our craft at local Steam Engine Rallies during the summer. Gauge '3' Society
The largest "Scenic" scale for garden railways running on 2 1/2 inch gauge track. Amongst our membership we have collectors of vintage trains, those with high pressure live steam locomotives, garden railways with continuous circuits for fast steam running and those with smaller railways using 2-rail, battery or radio control. We are a Model Boat Club for Steam,Sail & Electric powered no IC Engines allowed, We meet every Sunday morning from around 10am to 2pm, we cater for Novices as well as the Experienced modeller and a great deal of knowledge is available at the club. We operate a miniature railway in a local park (TW18), and do have invitation days to other related clubs/societies. We are affiliated to the Southern Federation of Model Engineering Societies. Telford & Ironbridge Meccano Society
www.TIMS.org.uk exhibit 4 times per year at the World Class Enginuity Museum Ironbridge - the biggest being over May Bank Holiday. There are approx 60 Meccano clubs in the UK and more than that overseas that belong to the www.internationalmeccanomen.org.uk. Staggering working models of every conceivable device range in size from a few inches to 10m in size. From welding machines, to gorgeous steam engines to fabulous famous clocks to the most modern mining equipment to Babbage's computers.
