Introduction

A range of 6082T6 sheet aluminium

Our aluminium is generally supplied with a surface protection although some of the larger thickness plates do not and may also have some mechanical handling marks. The coated grade is called M82 6082T651 and is supplied linished and polycoated so no time wasted cleaning up the surfaces and it anodises well. 6082T6 grade of alumium offers increased hardness over more common grades. 6082T6 has a hardness of 95 (Vickers). For reference, a common grade of aluminium such as 1050 H15 only has an estimated hardness of 35 (Vickers). 6082T6 is suitable for welding.
