USB to Serial Adaptor - Part No: 3810-001
The Pololu USB-to-serial adapter is great for connecting microcontroller projects to a personal computer. The adapter uses 3.3 V signal levels so you can connect it directly to any microcontroller running at up to 5 V without the hassle of an RS-232-to-TTL level converter. The tiny unit is less than 1.0" x 0.7" including its mini-B connector, and the simple layout of the ground, transmit, and receive lines allows for easy mounting that takes up as little as four breadboard rows.

If you want to access all of the features on your computer's serial port, this serial adapter is for you. The adapter allows you to connect your 3-5.5 V logic circuits to a COM port, which operates on higher and negative voltages (EIA-232, similar to the older RS-232 standard). The adapter is available fully assembled with male header pins facing down for use with prototyping boards and breadboards, or as a partial kit as shown to the right. The partial kit offers more flexibility if you do not need all of the header pins or if you want to install them on the other side of the board (or not at all).

USB I2C Interface - Part No: 3810-005
The USB-I2C module provides a complete interface between your PC and the I2C bus. The module is self powered from the USB cable and can supply up to 70mA at 5v for external circuitry from a standard 100mA USB port. The module is an I2C master only, not a slave.
