Note these geared motors are not supplied with any mounting hardware or instructions.

The provided mounting holes in the GM2/GM8 gear motors are a convenient way to mount these to your project but sometimes you just need a different way to mount them. These precision laser-cut steel brackets match the features on the gear motor, and securely clamp them down to your project.

Use any #4-sized screw or nut/bolt for assembly, but we use special #4x1/2" screw designed for threading plastic to mount these to our chassis. This screw also does a great job going into the steel bracket!

Note: We've discovered our latest batch of GM2 motors were molded a wee bit fatter around the tab that the motor-retainer screws into. This interferes with the little side-notches when you install it, so you have make the side-notches a wee bit deeper with a file. Or if you're feeling dangerous, you can use a small drill bit and "ride" it down into the notch a bit. Of course this is totally the wrong way to use a drill bit, but sometimes you got to use the tools you have!

This is a bit of a strange "big brother" to our popular series of GM11a-GM14a series of motors.
It has a 35:1 gear head larger than the others, and sports a bigger, beefier 030 form-factor motor.
The geometry is a bit strange, as the motor sits angled askew from the gearhead. Bizarre, but the motor performance is worth the effort.
Weighing in at only 15grams each, this motor could be very good at mini-sumo or other robot contests needing power in a small package!

The 360:1 Mini Metal Gear Motor looks much like our other mini metal gear motors, except the motor is longer. And the gearing is in an enclosed cylindrical casing!

Even more interesting are the motor characteristics. This compact brute of a gear motor offers a measured stall torque of 7.434 kgcm at 6V - thats considerable! Of course, with something this small, we trade the increase in torque for a decrease in speed at 23RPM at 6V.
