Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We offer three main on-line payment secure options, WorldPay & PayPal where your payment is taken at the time of order placement using most major credit and debit cards by either WorldPay or PayPal. Please note that with these two methods, Technobots will never get to see your payment card details. Alternatively, you can enter your payment card details direct into the Technobots secure server (secured by Geotrust) where we will only debit your card once your goods are ready for dispatch. Orders placed from outside of the UK only have the WorldPay payment option. No credit terms are available (except to valid education accounts on a strictly 30 day payment by prior agreement). Please note a £10.00 minimum order value applies to all orders (£25 to educational credit accounts).
You may also send your credit card information via phone, fax or snail mail but please do not Email your payment details as this is not a secure method.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the unlikely case that a mistake has been made in pricing or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

1st Class - Please note that 1st class letter post cannot be tracked and as per Royal Mail guidelines is not considered missing until 3 weeks have passed following dispatch.
Insured - We recommend using our courier service for items of value as they can be tracked and are sent on a priority service.

Delivery Schedule
We typically dispatch your order in 1-3 business days depending on our back log but please allow 7 working days for delivery before contacting our sales department. In some case, items may be unavailable and hence delivery may take longer, (see Back Orders).
No responsibility can be accepted for failure to meet a delivery date. There may be periods when the shop is closed to orders for example during holiday periods, these periods will be advertised on the shop in advance. Orders may be cancelled within 7 working days following the day of receipt (unless the law permits otherwise), unwanted goods must be returned unused in their original packaging carriage paid for a full refund (less any delivery costs incurred by Technobots).

Back Orders
Out of stock items are automatically put on backorder but you can cancel a back order at any time for a full refund.

Tax Charges
All orders will be charged in £ sterling. For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free although please note that we currently only accept orders from the UK for shipping to UK addresses. Latest news - EU orders will be accepted from late November 2007

Credit Card Security
At the checkout stage, you will be transferred to one of three secure servers - WorldPay, PayPal or our secure server (look for the padlock symbol and the URL address change to https//www.technobots.co.uk) depending on your selected payment type. When the order is placed via the Technobots secure server, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee
It is recognised that many items supplied by Technobots will be used outside of their intended application / duty for example in fighting robots. Our 12 month warranty (unless otherwise specified) extends only to manufacturing defects, failure due to shock, impact, fire, freezing, over-pressure or other such extremes fall outside of the warranty unless otherwise specified. The purchaser can take certain precautions to maximise the life expectancy of most items purchased by careful design of their creation. Technobots can provide guidance as to the suitability for most of our products in many applications but the purchaser will be responsible for ensuring the suitability of the item(s) in the chosen application.
Product liability is not applicable for products used outside of the manufacturers intended application / operating conditions. Safety devices such as radio control failsafes only serve to reduce risks and not eliminate them, other suitable precautions should always be taken to minimise the risk to personnel.
Valid claims under our warranty will at the discretion of Technobots Ltd be refunded, repaired or replaced. Products should not be returned without first contacting Technobots Ltd, any return should quote proof of purchase (typically invoice number) and include a brief reason for return. The purchaser shall ensure that any returned goods are suitably packaged and carriage paid and include any associated parts.

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of all products described in this shop but minor variations in manufacture are possible These variations are not intended to lessen the described performance of the product in anyway. The purchaser shall be entitled to return the product for a full refund if Technobots Ltd agrees that performance is not in accordance with that specified in the shop.
