I do not see how you can use a worm gear with your motor if it only spins at 1450 rpm. That is why I was selecting high rev motors for you. I have made the best selection I can for you given your criteria and what is available from Technobots. Worm drives have very high reduction ratio's, one turn of the worm moves the spur gear just one tooth rotation. |

Sorry not sure about your speed 400 size as we do not stock them but from what I can see they do look a similar size to the 1401-011. My mistake, the brass hub gear was part number 4600-132. Regards Paul |

Hi Kevin, there is a table under the 1401-011 description that gives the running current at 6A but as with a number of MFA products, their figures do not always add up. Something that Technobots needs to check in to. Take 6A as the max duty current but I'm sure you will find that the output power is lower than 42W as MFA do not appear to have taken the efficiency into account. |

No problem, the figures have now been updated in the latest MFA catalogue so the revised figures are now on the Technobots website. Power is shown as being half of what it was before but the revs are still high enough for a decent worm drive. |
